Ready to make the future visible?

Hi, I’m Julia. As a Design Lead, I work with teams, stakeholders, and business leaders to turn AI-driven transformation into opportunities for better employee, customer, and user experiences through rapid prototyping, visual experimentation, and exploring new ways of working.

I’ve worked in digital design for over 20 years across London, Amsterdam, and Helsinki for agencies like AKQA, Stink Studios, R/GA, Sapient, Razorfish, and Siili. I started in production at Endemol UK crafting experiences for the BBC, moved into agency and studio work for global brands like MINI, Ford, BlackBerry, and Chanel, helped launch startup websites and products, and spent the last decade as a lead design consultant for organisations like Lloyds Bank and Microsoft.

My approach starts with understanding the brand strategy, visual systems, audience insights, and market trends to frame the challenge and opportunity space. By visualising potential solutions — through rapid prototypes, imagery, videos and storytelling — I enable confident decision-making.

inspired by Marvin Leuvrey.

I find progress motivating: seeing where we are, imagining what could be better, and helping people move toward a goal that is achievable, meaningful, and a little beyond the expected. This is why I am particularly interested in the future of human–AI interaction. The experiences that excite me most are multimodal and ambient — where voice, vision, gesture, and sound work together to create more natural ways of interacting. Intelligence should understand context, operate quietly in the background, and help people focus on what matters most.As Saul Bass expressed, design is “thinking made visual”— a principle that shapes how I approach both professional challenges and everyday life. Whether defining a business ambition, crafting a product experience, or mapping a journey, I look for ways to make the landscape inspiring and easy to access — so everyone can enjoy the moment and share it with others.

What I bring

  • AI experience design: products, services, workflows
  • Brand and strategic foresight: informed decisions, future-proof solutions
  • Rapid prototyping and visual presentations
  • Workshop facilitation and co-creation
  • End-to-end design lead from vision to launch
  • A curious, hands-on mindset focused on continuous improvement

Available remote or hybrid globally.
